Kate Henshaw is a talented actress and one of the very best in the Nigerian Movie Industry. The gracious mother of an adorable daughter is known to give her best in whatever she does. Her wealth of experience and rich character has earned her a place in the hearts and minds of many. She is a well respected figure that people see as an example of who a role model should be. Born on the 19th of July, 1971 in Calabar Cross Rivers State, Nigeria, Kate Henshaw is the first born of her family and has three other siblings. She had both her primary and secondary school education in Calabar and Lagos. She got admitted into the University of Calabar where she did Remedial Studies for a year. She then got admitted into The School of Medical Laboratory Science, Lagos University Teaching Hospital where she earned a degree in Medical Microbiology. She later worked at Bauchi State General Hospital, Bauchi.

She won an award in a Leading Role in African Movie Academy Awards 2008, she also won The Best Actress Award at The ZAAFAA African Film Academy Awards 2015 and Nollywood Face of the Year at the 2015 City People Entertainment Awards. She also received The Smile Widows Home Humanitarian Award.
