Kate Henshaw is a talented actress and one of the very best in the Nigerian Movie Industry. The gracious mother of an adorable daughter is known to give her best in whatever she does. Her wealth of experience and rich character has earned her a place in the hearts and minds of many. She is a well respected figure that people see as an example of who a role model should be. Born on the 19th of July, 1971 in Calabar Cross Rivers State, Nigeria, Kate Henshaw is the first born of her family and has three other siblings. She had both her primary and secondary school education in Calabar and Lagos. She got admitted into the University of Calabar where she did Remedial Studies for a year. She then got admitted into The School of Medical Laboratory Science, Lagos University Teaching Hospital where she earned a degree in Medical Microbiology. She later worked at Bauchi State General Hospital, Bauchi.

Since her first major movie role in “When the Sun Sets”in 1991, Kate Henshaw has acted in over 300 movies. She won an award in a Leading Role in African Movie Academy Awards 2008, she also won The Best Actress Award at The ZAAFAA African Film Academy Awards 2015 and Nollywood Face of the Year at the 2015 City People Entertainment Awards. She also received The Smile Widows Home Humanitarian Award. Best Supporting Actress (Nollywood Awards 2017) Best Supporting Actress (Eko International Film Festival) ENDORSEMENTS Kate Henshaw has been endorsed by several brands, Globacom Telecommunications, Samsung Mobile and Samsung Electronics. She has been the face of ONGA for the past 8 years, face of Blessings Perfume in the United Kingdom and her role as one of the Judge on Nigeria’s Got Talent comes with an endorsement deal. International Judge/Panelist – The World Best @theworldsbest CHARITY WORK She is one of the ambassadors for a charity called “Project Alert” that fights against violence and rape of women and children. She was made an Evans Inspire Ambassador in 2008(Evans publishing saw the need for a role model who could encourage the youth beginning from primary school), Ambassador as a Golden Link for the National Cervical Cancer Prevention Programme, Goodwill Ambassador of the Nigerian Women Trust Fund.
